Amazing LTE in today's Chronicle deemed worthy by the censors at the local newspaper titled "Coast Guard ranges may be a political ploy". The writer states that Congressman Hoekstra is in a tight race for re-election. Not true. He then suggests that "After 60 years of relative peace on the great lakes....." the Coast Guard Great Lakes training is a plot by Bush and his minions to scare "us" for political gain. No proof. Just paranoia. TheChronicle commissars printed it (but not on the web).... so it must have some redeeming value...right!
