Survey supports minimum GPA for MHS athletes

Survey supports minimum GPA for MHS athletes
"A survey of parents, students, staff, coaches and community members showed 80 percent support a minimum GPA. Dissatisfaction with the proposal among 27 surveyed coaches -- fewer than half like the idea -- likely brought down the overall percentage of support.
Although the idea has the support of the community, the school board is still grappling with implementing a minimum GPA. Among their concerns are whether it should be applied to students in all extracurricular activities and how to pay for tutoring those who struggle to meet the GPA.

Imagine a school system that will allow its students to fail to be educated and still not help them because they are athletes.

Don't imagine!

It's Muskegon High School!
