"Yeah, I probably told this story before but my best man from my wedding had a friend from h.s. who was dying from cancer.
I sent a ball up to the football office and I wanted it signed for him while he was in the hospital.
Anyway, at the time, there was a former h.s. player of mine on the football team there too.
He was in the weight room when Mannie came in with the ball and yelled, 'O.k., every body get over here and sign this ball, some mother ****er is dying and we're gonna send it to him'."
