Texas Gov. Rick Perry is being attacked by some people, including some of his rivals for the GOP presidential nomination, for calling Social Security a Ponzi scheme that is unfair to the young.
The critics are partly correct in that Social Security is only partly a Ponzi scheme.
And it has actually been a series of Ponzi schemes.
