Choosing the plan (as I already have done) doesn't mean you have "health insurance". There is another step. And most (all?) who have chosen a plan are unable to make that last "click" to confirm their purchase. As far as I have gotten so far:
"LANSING — Slightly more than 1,300 Michigan residents chose a health insurance plan in the first month of enrollment in a federal marketplace created under the health care overhaul."
