MUSKEGON, MI – The city of Muskegon will have more than $1 million in federal housing and urban development funds available for the next fiscal year and city officials are seeking ideas on how best to spend it.

...The city expects to again receive about $900,000 in CDBG funds and $250,000 in HOME funds, according to Community and Neighborhood Services Director Oneata Bailey. In the past, the city simply had a “public hearing” as part of a city commission meeting but few, if any, showed up to provide ideas or even ask questions.
