Your tax dollars at "work"---Washington State Hires Fake Rappers to Recruit Young People for Obamacare

Washington State Hires Fake Rappers to Recruit Young People for Obamacare | Truth Revolt
he ever increasing effort to wrangle young people into Obamacare, the Washington Health Benefit Exchange has spent tons of taxpayer cash on some ads featuring a fake hip-hop duo questioning several Washington residents who signed up through Washington Healthplanfinder according to MyNorthwest.
"These new ads use humor and pop culture references to get people's attention as well as make a serious message stick," says Michael Marchand, Director of Communications at the Washington Health Benefit Exchange. "I think the first thing that when people initially see the ads is they're immediately caught off guard and the reaction is 'What did I just watch?' The more people watch them the more they seem to like them and it seems to have almost that Napoleon Dynamite/Anchorman feel to it, and the more you see the movie you realize there's layers to it."
The ads have been met with criticism from media outlets. KIRO Radio's Dori Monson said, "it's like a middle-aged person's idea funny," a sentiment Michael Marchand vehemently disagreed with."
