The show, scheduled to take place at the L.C. Walker Arena at 8:15 p.m. on Aug. 16, was cancelled because the show's promoter, Mac Man Presents, was unable to meet obligations set by Franklin's management company, according to Rob Murphy, vice president of business operations for the arena.
"This had nothing to do with Ms. Franklin or our venue," he said.
Attempts to reach the promoters for comment were not immediately successful. "
