DTE Energy wants to raise electricity rates | Crain's Detroit Business:
"DTE Energy wants to raise electricity rates by 3.2 percent.
The Detroit News reports today that residential customers would see an average increase of nearly $10 a month.
The request was filed Friday at the Michigan Public Service Commission.
Rate cases can take many months, but DTE can implement the increase on its own in June while waiting for a decision from regulators.
The utility says it needs to charge more for electricity to pay for billions in improvements in the last four years..."
