Muskegon bosses understand the benefits of lower taxes for their connected friends but don't seem to "get it" while they raise taxes for everyone else.-----Construction begins on 'urban lake house' development at Terrace Point Landing

Construction begins on 'urban lake house' development at Terrace Point Landing | MLive.com:
"An added attraction is the fact the development is in a Neighborhood Enterprise Zone, meaning property taxes on the homes will be cut by about half.
The 10.75-acre development will feature homes set close together on narrow lots, with residents sharing ownership of a pool with hot tub and beach area.
There also will be a forested common area and overflow parking lot with shared ownership.
All exterior maintenance – including landscaping and snow plowing – will be provided.
Lots range in price from $45,000 to $139,900.
Those on the waterfront include the option of having a private boat dock.
All owners have the opportunity to lease a slip at the adjacent Terrace Point Marina, which Rooks said originally was built for the residential development.
Marina tenants have access to a club house, pool and other amenities as well as the indoor pool and fitness facility at the adjacent Shoreline Inn, which Parkland Properties also owns."
