These jobs are unfilled. The fields of asparagus will be plowed under-----Watch the painstaking work to pick asparagus in Oceana County

Watch the painstaking work to pick asparagus in Oceana County | MLive.com:
"HART, MI -- Asparagus harvesting is in full swing in Oceana County, where about 2/3 of the Michigan crop is produced each year.

Over the course of the next seven weeks, workers will spend countless hours riding pickers gathering as many asparagus stalks as possible.

Tim Tubbs of Hart said it is challenging to find quality workers who are willing to work long hours in the heat.
Watch this video for a sense of the work involved in harvesting the spring treat using a motorized picker."
