"The Austrian capital, Vienna, has installed pedestrian crossing lights featuring gay and lesbian couples ahead of the Eurovision Song Contest.
The images displayed on traffic lights at dozens of pedestrian crossings were changed in early May to show couples, including gay and lesbian ones, instead of the normal solitary figure.
They will stay up until June.
The city says the campaign is mainly designed to raise awareness about traffic safety through the eye-catching images, though it was also timed with the Eurovision Song Contest, which starts May 18 in Vienna.
Eurovision is popular with LGBTQ audiences and was won last year by Austrian transgender Conchita Wurst ..."
