"FLINT, MI -- The city of Flint must take additional steps before it can spend most of $100 million awarded last week by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for the city's water system.
EPA Acting Regional Administrator Robert A. Kaplan told the city and the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality in a Friday, March 17, letter that the conditional award of $100 million in federal funds still requires updated plans that detail proposed work at the city water plant and for a water meter replacement program..."
