ESPN's own study indicates big chunk of viewers perceive network has liberal bias | Other Sports | Sporting News:
"A research survey intended to shoot down the idea ESPN has a liberal bias in fact showed a subset of respondents, by a 2-to-1 margin, believe the network leans to the left politically.
Image result for half trutThat's what Sporting News learned when we dug deeper into the results of the survey conducted by Langer Research Associates for ESPN.
One question in the survey of 1,423 adults conducted from May 3-7 was whether they detect a political bias in ESPN's coverage. 
About 30 percent of the respondents said they detect bias; within that group, 63 percent said it's a liberal bias while 30 percent said it's a conservative bias. 
The remaining 7 percent said they detect bias but declined to categorize it one way or the other.
Interestingly, the 63 percent statistic was missing from ESPN's press release announcing the survey results, but the network emphasized the 30 percent who think the network swings too far to the right. 
When SN asked why the 63 percent figure was not included, an ESPN spokesperson said the network was trying to keep the press release "short."...
