Barack Obama’s Biggest Lie

Roger L. Simon » Barack Obama’s Biggest Lie:
"But execrable as that serial prevarication may have been, it doesn’t hold a proverbial candle to his most recent whopper — that the Islamic State is not Islamic — not to mention its corollary, or perhaps subsidiary lie, that real religions do not indulge in murder.
Islam has been doing that pretty much straight through for fourteen centuries, both outwardly toward Christians and Jews, and inwardly in its unresolved pathological conflict between its Sunni and Shiite strains that continues, as the world well knows, to this day and undoubtedly into the foreseeable future, spewing an uncountable number of corpses as it goes."

...So everybody in our administration, and even most of our military, seems to lie these days, but the source of the lies comes from the top, POTUS.
He governs our land where the truth dare not be uttered, the enemy never named.
We all know we’re in a civilizational war with Islam, have been for quite some time and likely to be for a lot longer, but our officials and our mainstream media will do everything possible not to admit it.
They assume, I guess, if we tell the Islamic world they’re peaceful often enough, they will become it.
That’s the most optimistic view of it.
The pessimistic view is that a number of our leaders and media want us to lose. Either way we’re in a pack of trouble.

Child pornography conviction overturned because the government violated the Posse Comitatus Act

Child pornography conviction overturned because the government violated the Posse Comitatus Act - The Washington Post:
The Posse Comitatus Act (PCA), 18 U.S.C. § 1385, “prohibits Army and Air Force military personnel from participating in civilian law enforcement activities.” [Footnote: The PCA states, “Whoever, except in cases and under circumstances expressly authorized by the Constitution or Act of Congress, willfully uses any part of the Army or the Air Force as a posse comitatus or otherwise to execute the laws shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both.”] We have previously recognized that, “[a]lthough the PCA does not directly reference the Navy,” “PCA-like restrictions” apply to the Navy as a matter of Department of Defense (DoD) and Naval policy….
...Agent Logan’s search was not reasonably focused on carrying out such a legitimate military investigation. NCIS is authorized to investigate criminal operations that “significantly affect the naval establishment.” Agent Logan understood that he did not have the authority to search any location, but had to limit his searches to areas where there was “a Department of Navy interest.” Yet, Agent Logan’s search did not meet the required limitation. He surveyed the entire state of Washingtonfor computers sharing child pornography. His initial search was not limited to United States military or government computers, and, as the government acknowledged, Agent Logan had no idea whether the computers searched belonged to someone with any “affiliation with the military at all.” Instead, it was his “standard practice to monitor all computers in a geographic area,” here, every computer in the state of Washington….

TSA DEMANDS TO CONDUCT FULL BODY PAT DOWN ON MAN AFTER HIS PLANE ALREADY LANDED

VIDEO: TSA DEMANDS TO CONDUCT FULL BODY PAT DOWN ON MAN AFTER HIS PLANE ALREADY LANDED | The Daily Sheeple:
local Fox News story about the incident said that Nygard, “was on a list that should have singled him out for screening — but that didn’t happen.”
According to the report, Nygard should have been subjected to enhanced screening at Minneapolis Airport because his name was, “on the secondary security screen list known as “quad S,” and Nygard, “had a boarding pass designated with four bold S’s.”
The TSA failed to notice the details on Nygard’s boarding pass and he was allowed to board the plane.
It was only after a Spirit employee called the TSA when the plane was half way to Denver that the oversight was recognized.
Nygard, “slipped through three layers of security, and no one was any the wiser until he was already in the air,” states the report, noting that some of the red flags that get someone on the ‘quad S’ list include, “buying your ticket the same day, paying cash, or getting a one-way ticket.”
In an email to Infowars, Nygard said that the Fox News story was mostly “lies,” noting that he was forced to undergo a full body pat down at Minneapolis Airport.
Nygard also states that Fox News’ characterization of him as a “Somali-American man” is inaccurate given that his descendents are Poles and Norwegians.

Transparently Bad: U.S. Whistleblowers Feel Blowback

Transparently Bad: U.S. Whistleblowers Feel Blowback
Federal employees who expose government waste, fraud and abuse are having a tough time in the “most transparent administration in history.”
Robert MacLean, a former air marshal, told a House subcommittee Tuesday that managers at the Transportation Security Administration “thumb their nose” at whistleblower protection laws.
MacLean, who complained that air marshals were improperly grounded by the TSA, is taking his termination to the U.S. Supreme Court after losing a series of lopsided proceedings at the agency. He said the TSA branded him “an organizational terrorist.”
Robert Van Boven, former director of a Veterans Affairs facility in Texas, said, “The (bureaucratic) culture fights transparency and degrades whistleblowers.”
Boven, a medical doctor, was fired after alleging “fraudulent billing and ghost employees who didn’t help one single veteran.”
Nevertheless, whistleblowing is on the rise, according to Carolyn Lerner, chief attorney in the U.S. Office of Special Counsel.
“The numbers are through the roof,” Lerner reported.
The outcomes aren’t necessarily good news for taxpayers or advocates of open government.
Of 2,900 cases last year, 1,400 involved retaliation against whistleblowers, and whistleblowers prevailed less than a quarter of the time.
“There is a new trend,” saidTom Devine, legal director for the Government Accountability Project. “(Washington) is making it a crime to blow the whistle.
You have the choice of resigning or facing charges.
That’s chilling.”

Onity Wins: Hotels That Bought Their Easily-Hacked Door Lock Can't Sue According To Court

Onity Wins: Hotels That Bought Their Easily-Hacked Door Lock Can't Sue According To Court | Techdirt:
A couple years back, I wrote about the curious case of Onity, a company that makes door locks for hotel rooms. Thing is, their locks fail to do the one thing they're supposed to do, as shown when one man at a Black Hat security conference used a cheap device to access the lock's dataport and cause it to unlock. The idea was that a lock that is defeated by equipment that costs pocket change isn't so much a lock as it is a decoration. Onity, in the company's infinite wisdom, claimed the long term fix, a new system board, was available to its customers...for a price.
A class action's worth of hotels weren't satisfied with paying twice for the same product just to make it work, so they filed a lawsuit. That filing was recently rejected by a judge using some awfully strange logic.

The court’s decision turns on three key facts. First, the plaintiffs didn’t allege any actual security breaches; the courts says they are suing “only for the costs of preventing future unauthorized access.” Second, each lock still works in the sense that it “still performs the functions of locking the door upon closing it and unlocking it upon insertion of a properly-coded key card….the locks do not begin to fail on their own upon installation, nor are they all ‘doomed to fail’ eventually.” Third, the court says any future security breaches “could occur only if third parties engaged in criminal conduct to enter Plaintiffs’ hotel rooms.”
Let's deal with these in order. Onity's lock has a gaping security hole that's laughably easy to exploit. For anyone with fifty dollars in their pockets, the lock might as well not be there at all. The very nature of the condition of the product is a breach and, in any case, at least is easily understandable as a product that doesn't perform its basic functions, which is what makes the second claim by the judge so galling.

Extent of Antarctic sea ice reaches record levels, scientists say

Extent of Antarctic sea ice reaches record levels, scientists say - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation):
Scientists say the extent of Antarctic sea ice cover is at its highest level since records began.
Satellite imagery reveals an area of about 20 million square kilometres covered by sea ice around the Antarctic continent.
Jan Lieser from the Antarctic Climate and Ecosystems Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) said the discovery was made two days ago.
"This is an area covered by sea ice which we've never seen from space before," he said.
"Thirty-five years ago the first satellites went up which were reliably telling us what area, two dimensional area, of sea ice was covered and we've never seen that before, that much area.
"That is roughly double the size of the Antarctic continent and about three times the size of Australia."

Respiratory Virus Enterovirus D68 Spreads to the Northeast

Respiratory Virus Enterovirus D68 Spreads to the Northeast - ABC News
Enterovirus D68, the respiratory illness suspected of hospitalizing hundreds of children across the nation, has now spread to the Northeast and is likely to hit the whole country.
Connecticut and New York are the latest states to report cases of the rapidly spreading virus that has targeted young children, especially those with asthma, in 21 states.
The Connecticut Department of Public Health received reports "from two hospitals in different parts of the state of clusters of severe respiratory illness among young children that could be due to enterovirus D68," the agency said in a statement.

Rational Thinking About Irrational Numbers

Rational Thinking About Irrational Numbers | Somewhat Reasonable:
"In the last 100 years, the amount of CO2 in the air has increased from three molecules per 10,000 molecules of air, to four molecules out of 10,000 molecules of air.
Which means we are being asked to believe the increase of one molecule of CO2 out of 10,000 molecules of air in the last 100 years is causing catastrophic climate change that threatens mankind.
This is all fascinating to me, given Secretary of State John Kerry’s comments on the immense threat of a catastrophe based on out of control climate, when we have groups like ISIS and Hamas running around.
Seems to me that there is a lot of inconsistency here.
The idea from John Kerry is that CO2-induced warming is an imminent national security threat.
So he is saying the increase of one molecule of CO2 per 10,000 molecules of air in the last 100 years is a threat on par with what is going on in the Middle East?
How can that even be close.
The real threat when it comes to CO2 is the agenda that paints it as a threat. One, it makes us more reliant on an unstable area of the world.
Two, the policies limiting its use starve the lifeline of our economy.
As I have opined before, it’s the global warming agenda that is the major threat, not global warming."

....But let’s look more closely at this in the U.S., since we naturally want to lead the world to a brighter tomorrow.
It is estimated that the U.S. has averaged 20% of the CO2 input from man over the last 100 years . Assuming all the increase of CO2 is man-made, that would mean in 50,000 molecules of air, the U.S. has added one molecule of CO2 in the last 100 years, while the global GDP skyrocketed.
How much is that a year?
Well we have to divide the figure above.
One molecule per 50,000 in the last 100 years means we have averaged one molecule of CO2 for every 5,000,000 molecules of air per year. So we are asked to believe that is changing the climate?
But wait, let’s think locally to act globally (I have a sweatshirt that says that).
300,000,000 people.
How many molecules of CO2 does the average American add to the atmosphere every year?
One molecule of CO2 out of every 1,500,000,000,000,000 molecules of air each year.
Why you selfish capitalist pig.
You are destroying the planet by your very existence (though the plants love you – I saw a tree hug a human the other day).

"Bob Crewe, who died last week, is best known for his work with the Four Seasons, not least because in fictionalized form he turns up on stage each night in the Broadway blockbuster Jersey Boys.
Kathy Shaidle dispensed with this aspect of Crewe's career in one line: "I don't care a rat's ass about the Four Seasons."
Rat's-ass-wise, I'm with Kathy.
Nothing against them, and, if you like "Big Boys Don't Cry" and "Sherry" and "Walk Like A Man", then you certainly owe a debt of gratitude to Mr Crewe.
He was, as they said, "the Fifth Season", and for most people that would have been a full-time job.
But he found time to do all manner of other things, and almost all of them I found more interesting than his Seasonal labors."

The man who was texting about needing to stop texting, then drove off a cliff

The man who was texting about needing to stop texting, then drove off a cliffe Texas college student Chance Bothe's last words prior to driving his truck off a cliff were in the form of a text message: “I need to quit texting, because I could die in a car accident.”
Bothe's truck flew off a bridge and plummeted into a ravine, and the 21-year-old had to spend six months in intense recovery in the hospital. According to WAFF, Bothe had a “broken neck, a crushed face, a fractured skull, and traumatic brain injuries.” He also had to have doctors bring him back to life three times.

Race baiting liar!-----Black firefighter cries racism, police misconduct to media; body-cam proves him wrong

Black firefighter cries racism, police misconduct to media; body-cam proves him wrong - BizPac Review:
With the nation a racial tinderbox in the wake of 18-year-old Michael Brown’s shooting death by a white police officer, a California firefighter threw out what could have been an incendiary spark by accusing a cop of treating him differently because he’s black.
Little did Oakland firefighter Keith Jones know that the officer was wearing a body-cam video recorder when their tense encounter unfolded. And the video didn’t quite match the complaint Jones filed with the Oakland Police Department.
The encounter began last month when Jones and his sons, aged 9 and 12, were leaving a Oakland Raiders football game and walked past an open bay door at a nearby fire station, according to the CBS affiliate, KPIX5.

.....Watch the (officer's body-cam) video and decide for yourself if the officer acted inappropriately, or whether the incident shows that when you’re holding a hammer, everything looks like a nail.
