Mick Mulvaney says Obama had 'secret' list of proposed regulations - Washington Times:

Image result for free clip art Secret files"White House budget director Mick Mulvaney accused the Obama administration Thursday of keeping a “secret list” of proposed regulations during Mr. Obama’s eight-year regulatory onslaught against businesses, and touted President Trump’s rollback of more than 800 Obama-era rules and proposals.
Of the 860 rules or proposed rules that the Trump administration has killed, 179 came from what he called Mr. Obama’s “secret” list. As Trump aides combed through the books, they found pending proposals that ranged from rules on hardwood plywood research to new requirements for contamination control in cattle slaughter operations."

Unable To Confront The Migrant Crisis, Europe Is Committing Suicide
Image result for Europe Is Committing Suicide"On Sunday, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said she would not limit the number of refugees coming into the country. “On the issue of an upper limit, my position is clear,” Merkel said. “I won’t accept one.”
Setting aside the electoral implications of Merkel’s statement, which defied her party’s long-term coalition partner just two months before federal elections, it perfectly captured the refusal of European leaders to face the migrant crisis head-on—a refusal that in turn epitomizes the slow suicide of European civilization..."

Michigan companies can't fill jobs because too many people can't pass a drug test | Crain's Detroit Business:
"A Macomb County factory owner sees a chance to increase production at his metal-stamping plant.
He puts out a call for job applicants and dozens respond.

Why?
They cannot pass a basic pre-employment drug test.
A major manufacturing facility in Detroit furloughs workers during a downturn.
When 100 of the workers are called back several months later, every one of them fails the company's drug screening, mostly for marijuana.
In Traverse City, an addiction treatment center surveys 30 companies in across the region and finds only 1-in-4 conduct drug tests.
The reason: They fear the results would require them to reject or fire the workers they desperately need..."

California College Boss Wants Algebra Graduation Requirement Gone, Says it’s ‘Civil Rights Issue’ | Heat Street

California College Boss Wants Algebra Graduation Requirement Gone, Says it’s ‘Civil Rights Issue’ | Heat Street:
"The chancellor of California’s community college system has raised eyebrows after suggesting colleges should drop the algebra requirement, claiming it’s a “civil rights issue”.
Image result for that's racismEloy Oritz Oakley, the boss of 113 community colleges in California, made his suggestion during an interview with NPR.
He said the algebra requirement is particularly troublesome because it prevents a number of students from graduating from community colleges, adding that almost 50 percent of students don’t meet the standard.
This is a civil rights issue, but this is also something that plagues all Americans — particularly low-income Americans,” he said.
“If you think about all the underemployed or unemployed Americans in this country who cannot connect to a job in this economy — which is unforgiving of those students who don’t have a credential — the biggest barrier for them is this algebra requirement.
It’s what has kept them from achieving a credential.”"

Image result for clinton corruption"Corruption: Amid the trivial fault-finding by the media of President Trump's every move, it's important to note that the very same pundits who now rip Trump have completely ignored the growing scandal of Hillary Clinton's pay-for-play tenure as secretary of state.
It's reasonable to wonder why no charges have yet been filed, yet the media, blinded by their Trump hatred, seem strangely incurious.
The legal investigative think tank Judicial Watch recently released 448 pages of documents that it dug up from the U.S. State Department, the fruit of months of Freedom of Information Act requests and document-digging.
The documents are damning, showing even more instances of Hillary Clinton performing official favors for those who donated to the Clinton Foundation and certain political campaigns.
To put it even more bluntly, the emails make a prima facie case for a criminal prosecution of Clinton..."

"A herd of destructive goats remain on the loose after the leader smashed the double glass doors of a Denver business.
The bizarre break-in happened Monday at Kryptan Systems, Louisville and much to the amusement of all involved, it was caught on surveillance camera.
Employees of the company arrived at the office Monday morning to find shattered glass everywhere. Assuming it was an act of vandalism they checked out their CCTV footage which revealed some unexpected perpetrators.
The video shows a goat charging at one glass door before knocking it in and fleeing the scene. Members of his goat crew can be seen in the background running past the building.
The billy goat later returns – this time targeting the second door.
“For 20 minutes he just sat and banged on that one side until he broke it, and then he left and came back and decided to break the other side too. I don’t know why,” employee Greg Cappert told Fox News..."

Will Congress Follow Trump’s Lead, Cut Back on Invasive Education Programs? | The National Pulse

Will Congress Follow Trump’s Lead, Cut Back on Invasive Education Programs? | The National Pulse:

Image result for Food Education"In a disappointing move, the U.S. House Education Appropriations Subcommittee made only minor cuts to the overall budget for the U.S. Department of Education (USED) and to numerous invasive and ineffective programs in their bill writing session held last week. The subcommittee also increased funding for some very worrisome programs. This is quite disheartening given the hope engendered by the Trump administration budget blueprint.

The good news is that almost all of the requests for expansion of federal school choice programs — which have the strong potential to expand federal regulations like mandated Common Core-aligned testing to private schools or continued control of charter schools — were denied.

Here are some major highlights, "

Trump kills 16 regulations for every new one, crushing 2-for-1 goal
"President Trump's administration, on orders to kill two regulations for every new one, ripped up the playbook during its first six months, eliminating 16 old rules for every new one, according to top officials.
Image result for Trump kills 16 regulations "It's really the beginning of a kind of fundamental regulatory reform and a reorientation of where we're going with regulation," said Neomi Rao, the newly installed administrator of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs in the Office of Management and Budget.
In a briefing with a handful of reporters, Rao laid out the administration's regulation agenda, declaring, "It's a beginning...you're going to see a rollback of regulations."
...Key highlights from OMB:
  • In the last five months of fiscal year 2016, the Obama administration imposed $6.8 billion in annualized costs from economically significant rules. By contrast, the Trump administration has imposed less than $0 in regulatory costs during its first five months.
  • Comparing Obama's first five months in office to Trump's, Obama imposed $3.1 billion in costs. Trump has cut regulations, realizing an annualized cost saving of $22 million.
  • The administration is "ahead of schedule" on the 2-for-1 regulatory cut, banking 16 regulatory actions, including 12 cut by Congress."
