Why traditional masculine attributes still matter on the battlefield

Why traditional masculine attributes still matter on the battlefield
"Heroism — the willingness to put your life on the line for family, tribe, duty, honor, country and God in the face of the greatest possible adversity — used to be considered one of the foremost masculine virtues.
Indeed, the history of western civilization from the ancient Greeks to the recent present has been the history of heroism as well: the last stands at Thermopylae, Masada, the Swiss Guard at the Vatican in 1527, the Alamo, Khartoum, and Stalingrad are still names to conjure with, learn from, and celebrate.
Today, however, we live in a decidedly unheroic age, one in which the traditional masculine attributes of courage, physical strength, and moral fortitude have been disparaged by feminists and soy boys nearly into oblivion.
Dismissed as outdated and derided as “toxic,” masculinity and the martial virtues so vital to the maintenance of society and social order have been stuffed into the cultural closet in favor of wishful thinking, politically correct fantasy, and dangerous good intentions...Read all.

Owens wants the censorship stopped for the millions of Americans sharing opinions or information against the one accepted narrative from the Left. If she wins her legal case, she said, she could set the precedent for a massive class action lawsuit against Facebook from others who’ve allegedly been censored.
As announced on election night, Owens is joining The Daily Wire, and has a new show in the works set to debut in 2021.

Victor Davis Hanson: If Trump Takes a Lesson from Andrew Jackson, 2024 Will Be Interesting Indeed:
"Donald Trump is nearing a crossroads.
  • ...The harassment during the transition became thematic for Trump’s next four years, which saw false evidence submitted to federal courts

  • No prior president has faced such hysterical opposition bent on removing him from office by a special prosecutor, concocted charges that he

In an Oakland County commissioner race, incumbent Republican Adam Kochenderfer was told he lost, but a later review determined he won. The director of elections blamed the mistake on “a computer issue” that caused Rochester Hills to incorrectly send in results for “seven precincts as both precinct votes and absentee votes” when they should only have been counted once, as absentees.

Results were reversed in Antrim County after it first appeared Biden beat Trump in a landslide by 6,000 votes there. Michigan officials later blamed “user error” for the incorrect results, and declared Trump actually won the county. The state blamed an Antrim County clerk for failing to properly “update software used to collect voting machine data.” The reason the information got a second look is because people who know the county thought the initial Biden landslide seemed unlikely. But officials say the mishap never affected totals.

Covid Was Hiding Among Colds and Flus - WSJ

Covid Was Hiding Among Colds and Flus - WSJ
"Here are some Covid realities that we’ve long alluded to that might be useful to spell out in the current surge.
U.S. government scientists now estimate that 40% of cases are asymptomatic and 80% of symptomatic cases are mild—in short, 88% of subjects don’t know they are infected or have no great incentive to find out if they are suffering from Covid or some more familiar bug.
An American adult typically suffers two colds a year, while school-age children may suffer 10 or more, and 20 million of us get the flu.
A conservative estimate, then, is that 13 million Americans every day suffer from something not readily distinguishable from mild Covid (never mind asymptomatic Covid).
This perhaps explains why, despite conducting 186 million tests since the plague arrived, we’ve found only 12.7 million cases.
Most who have Covid aren’t getting tested; among those seeking tests the large majority are suffering from something that isn’t Covid.
The implications have been slow to sink in.
Embarrassing as America’s early testing fumbles were, the consequences were likely small...Read all.

The Great (Dystopian) Reset

Everything that's happened so far in 2020 – lockdowns, destruction of small businesses, crippled economy – is an attempt to shove people into such desperate circumstances that they'll beg their elite overlords to "save" them.

And what will world rulers have once economies crash, poverty becomes rampant and people are desperate? To these power-mad rulers, it's better to reign in hell than serve in heaven. They elites don't care if they destroy the greatest nation with the greatest economy on earth; they'd rather reign in hell. Much of the furore has come about because employees at the Canadian branch of the publisher, Penguin Random House, have called for the book to be cancelled...

...This is just the latest example of a new trend of activist employees threatening to strike for ideological reasons...

As Ray Bradbury predicted in Fahrenheit 451, books will be burned to protect everyone’s feelings as much as to block the content within them.

But I’m not sure if even he would have predicted that it would be the publishers’ staffers who would be manning the flamethrowers...:

Report: Moscow Plans Social Credit System

Report: Moscow Plans Social Credit System

Open Media, a Russian Internet freedom news portal, reported on Tuesday that Moscow is preparing to implement a “social credit” system similar to the one used in China.

Social credit systems monitor residents in various ways and feed huge amounts of data about them into algorithms that evaluate the quality of their citizenship, including their loyalty to the ruling regime. Those flagged as “poor citizens” can find themselves automatically stripped of benefits, barred from employment, or prevented from traveling, usually with little chance of appealing the system’s judgments.

"...Sheriffs in four New York counties said last week on social media that they would not be enforcing the coronavirus rules, claiming their jurisdiction does not apply inside people’s homes and that the orders were not constitutionally defensible.
Cuomo...“I believe that law enforcement officer violates his or her constitutional duty. I don't consider them a law enforcement officer. Because you don't have the right to pick laws that you think you will enforce, and you don't enforce laws that you don't agree with. Right. That's not a law enforcement officer. That's a dictator,” he added. “God bless you,” Cuomo added. “But don't ask me for help.”
