“A San Francisco jury failed to find a man and woman guilty of murder charges in connection with the 2017 killing of a photographer even though the murder was captured on video
Lamonte Mims and Fantasy Decuir shot 71-year-old Edward French to death while robbing him of his camera and wallet in the early morning hours of July 16, 2017. 
Decuir is seen shooting French even though Mims, who is holding French, had already stolen the camera.
...On Monday, the jury found Mims guilty on three charges of second-degree robbery, possession of a firearm by a felon, contempt of court and two other theft charges. Jurors found Decuir guilty of two second-degree robbery charges and two other theft charges. “The pair were acquitted on a charge of inflicting injury on an elder likely to cause great bodily injury, and the jury deadlocked on the charge of murder 10-2 in favor of guilty for both defendants...
They are black. 
He was white and gay. 
Media in San Francisco apparently downplayed or ignored the story but I was able to verify it nonetheless...
