Veteran Montel Williams Delivers Blistering Takedown of Obama Over What He Failed to Do During Big West Point Speech | Video | TheBlaze.com:
“The president just promised $5 billion for terrorists around the world?! At West Point?!” Williams said angrily. “Where he could have used the day to say, ‘I’m sorry for the pain that I’ve caused you, the families, and I’m gonna fix it today!’”

Williams then called for a “#VASurge” campaign to make sure there is enough funding to adequately address the health concerns of military veterans."

LIBERTY REVIEW

LIBERTY REVIEW:

http://www.libertyreview76.blogspot.com/2014/05/sgt.html

The president and his administration have done nothing to help Sgt. Tahmooressi.  The president will allow illegal aliens to cross our defenseless border without question.  He will accept them with open arms as he passes out gift baskets full of benefits provided by the American taxpayers.  Vice President Biden considers illegals to be citizens.  The president will allow the release of 36,000 illegal criminals and claim they aren’t
dangerous.  Terrorist and those with ties to terrorist organizations receive better treatment by this administration than Americans.  Veterans are now discarded.

IRS: 318,000 FED WORKERS OWE $3.3B IN BACK TAXES

News from The Associated Press:
"WASHINGTON (AP) -- From workers in Congress and at the White House to active duty troops, more than 318,000 federal employees and retirees owe just over $3.3 billion in back taxes, the Internal Revenue Service said Thursday.
That works out to nearly 3.3 percent of all 9.8 million federal workers and retirees who are behind on their taxes, which is significantly lower than the proportion of delinquent taxpayers in the overall population.
The IRS said it estimates that to be at least 8.7 percent.
Those behind in their tax payments include 714 of the roughly 17,000 people working for the House and Senate, the agency said. IRS officials said the data used to compile the report did not indicate whether any of those delinquent taxpayers were members of Congress.
In addition, 36 of the nearly 1,800 people who work at the White House and its various agencies owe taxes, according to the IRS.
The IRS provided no further breakdown of exactly where those delinquent taxpayers worked."

Directive outlines Obama's plan to use the military against citizens

Inside the Ring: Directive outlines Obama's plan to use the military against citizens - Washington Times:
"A 2010 Pentagon directive on military support to civilian authorities details what critics say is a troubling policy that envisions the Obama administration’s potential use of military force against Americans.
The directive contains noncontroversial provisions on support to civilian fire and emergency services, special events and the domestic use of the Army Corps of Engineers.
The troubling aspect of the directive outlines presidential authority for the use of military arms and forces, including unarmed drones, in operations against domestic unrest.
“This appears to be the latest step in the administration’s decision to use force within the United States against its citizens,” said a defense official opposed to the directive.
Directive No. 3025.18, “Defense Support of Civil Authorities,” was issued Dec. 29, 2010, and states that U.S. commanders “are provided emergency authority under this directive.”

Snyder, business leaders call for change in Elliott-Larsen act to include LGBT protection | Crain's Detroit Business:
"MACKINAC ISLAND — Gov. Rick Snyder said Thursday he would like to see lawmakers amend the state’s Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act to include language about sexual orientation and gender identity before the end of the year.
“I don’t believe in discrimination,” Snyder said in an interview with Crain’s.
“I hope that’s something the Legislature will take up sometime this year.”
But Snyder stopped short of saying whether he would sign the bill, as he rarely signals his intentions on what he will do with legislation until it reaches his desk.
This morning, at the Detroit Regional Chamber’s Mackinac Policy Conference, Rick Baker, President and CEO of the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce, and Sandy Baruah, president and CEO of the Detroit chamber came out in support of changing the law as well."

Two Years Until Social Security Disability Trust Fund Is Empty

Two Years Until Social Security Disability Trust Fund Is Empty | MyGovCost | Government Cost Calculator:
The trust fund in question is Social Security’s Disability Insurance (SSDI) trust fund, which is set to be fully depleted sometime in 2016.
Brianna Ehley of the Fiscal Times has the details on the fund that provides up to 20% of the money paid to recipients of Social Security disability benefits:
According to the Social Security Administration, spending on the program has more than tripled since 1983 from $43 billion to $139 billion, adjusted for inflation.
It now accounts for about 20 percent of the Social Security Administration’s total budget.
Spending has ticked up so fast in recent years that revenue can’t keep up.
The government has paid out more than it has taken in every year since 2009, according to the Social Security Board of Trustees.
If the pattern continues and the program runs out of money by 2016, the millions of Americans collecting disability will see their benefits cut by at least 20 percent.

US Economy Shrank By 1% In The First Quarter: First Contraction Since 2011

US Economy Shrank By 1% In The First Quarter: First Contraction Since 2011 | Zero Hedge:
"....the first quarter GDP "grew" by a revised -1.0%, down from the +0.1% first estimate, and well below the -0.5%  expected, confirming that while economists may suck as economists, they are absolutely horrible as weathermen.
This was the worst print since the -1.3% recorded in Q1 2011.
Bottom line: for whatever reason, in Q1 the US economy contracted not only for the first time in three years, but at the fastest pace since Q1 of 2011.
It probably snowed then too.
The breakdown by components is as follows:"

CNN Anchor: Michelle Obama Can Sign Bills Into Law

CNN Anchor: Michelle Obama Can Sign Bills Into Law:

"Michelle Obama, undoubtedly, holds influence in the White House; most First Ladies do. But let’s not forget one important fact: nobody elected her. She’s not a president; she’s not a lawmaker. She’s an advocate for a cause that, quite frankly, has failed and is rife with hypocrisy and egomaniacal soundbites.

It’s incredible that we live in a time when the President has dismissed the Supreme Court’s importance as “an unelected group” of people, but has offered his wife a chance to combat Congress on a measure in the House from the bully pulpit of the White House."

Obama’s Labor Secretary Goes Full-On Commie on Memorial Day:
"That’s right.
Obama’s Labor Secretary tweeted encouragement to college graduates to forget about being an individual and about themselves, but not in the way that those veterans sacrificed themselves in the line of duty.
No, he was encouraging them to ‘come over to the dark side’ by preaching none other than communistic collectivism – and the Twitterverse let him have it. "

Ben Carson on 2nd Amendment: Needed In Case Gov’t Goes ‘Off The Rail’ | CNS News:

“But the real reason that they put it [2nd Amendment] there is recognizing that there could come a time when our government itself could go off the rail, and could try to dominate the people, and the people would need a mechanism of defense for themselves,” said Carson.  “I would never allow the Second Amendment to be jeopardized.”
