WATCH as Reporters Actually Laugh at This Ridiculous Obama State Department Claim

WATCH as Reporters Actually Laugh at This Ridiculous Obama State Department Claim:
"State Department spokesperson Jen Psaki, who worked as a spokesperson for John Kerry’s failed 2004 presential bid, thinks that Obama is being too modest in regards to taking credit for supposed foreign policy “successes,” like Ukraine and Iran.
Ukraine and Iran?
It’s laughable and even the mainstream media chuckles with disbelief at the outrageous assertion "

Classic lib-thought. "We don't know if it will work (it probably won't), but spending someone else's money makes us feel better about ourselves!"-------Editorial: Muskegon community must implement a credible beach warning system as soon as possible

The editorial writer sorta forgot to mention the multiple warning signs on and around the beach.
Failed to mention the legal barriers involved in "assuring" beach safety.
And seems totally uninterested in what other communities are doing to mitigate the problem.
Libs simply wet their pants when they hear "cutting-edge" and "spend".
Classic.
And worthless.

Editorial: Muskegon community must implement a credible beach warning system as soon as possible | MLive.com:
.....a community group to plan for a beach warning system.
The group has suggested two, 30-foot towers with warning lights and audio alarms that can be activated with National Weather Service alerts for dangerous wind and wave conditions – something that might happen fewer than a dozen times a summer.
The $70,000 "cutting-edge" beach warning system – with a suggested $20,000 contribution from the city of Muskegon – has met resistance.
Critics claim the city should not spend the money, as the warning system would be ineffective and would disturb the park environs.
They say people should be responsible for their own well-being.
We strongly disagree.
Let's go beyond the "you can't put a price tag on a human life" argument and face the practical issues.
No one wants to pay for expensive days-long search and rescue operations following a drowning or for a lawsuit from a victim's family.
.....We are not yet convinced the proposed beach warning system is the ultimate answer, but we give Lewis and the group credit for challenging us with an innovative approach.
The old flag warning systems don't seem to be effective and having life guards is not only expensive but creates its own set of liabilities for the city.
Make no mistake, the city's ultimate decision will be driven by insurance liabilities, risk management considerations and legal opinions.
We urge the Muskegon City Commission to give the proposed beach warning system a full and quick consideration with hopes that some solution can be implemented yet this summer season.

New Study: Is No Degree Better Than A Liberal Arts Degree?

New Study: Is No Degree Better Than A Liberal Arts Degree? - Forbes
A new study by Forbes contributor Dan Schawbel, who runs Millennial Branding, a one-man research and consulting firm in Boston that’s focused on millennials (born between the early ‘80s and the early 2000s), released a study today that comes to some conclusions I find startling.
The most unsettling:
If you are in the millennial generation and your goal is to find a job, it may be wiser to get no college degree at all than to spend four years and hundreds of thousands of dollars earning a humanities B.A.
In a survey of nearly 3,000 job seekers and HR professionals, Schawbel, together with career website Beyond.com, found that a striking 64% of hiring managers said they would consider a candidate who hadn’t gone to a day of college.
At the same time, fewer than 2% of hiring managers said they were actively recruiting liberal arts grads.

STUDY FINDS MEDICAL POT FARMS DRAINING STREAMS DRY

News from The Associated Press:
"STUDY FINDS MEDICAL POT FARMS DRAINING STREAMS DRY"
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- Some drought-stricken rivers and streams in Northern California's coastal forests are being polluted and sucked dry by water-guzzling medical marijuana farms, wildlife officials say - an issue that has spurred at least one county to try to outlaw personal grows.
State fish and wildlife officials say much of the marijuana being grown in northern counties under the state's medical pot law is not being used for legal, personal use, but for sale both in California and states where pot is still illegal.
This demand is fueling backyard and larger-scale pot farming, especially in remote Lake, Humboldt and Mendocino counties on the densely forested North Coast, officials said.
"People are coming in, denuding the hillsides, damming the creeks and mixing in fertilizers that are not allowed in the U.S. into our watersheds," said Denise Rushing, a Lake County supervisor who supports an ordinance essentially banning outdoor grows in populated areas.

Is it possible to fix Detroit if they keep the same fools in power positions?-----How Michigan lost grip on Method Home Products

How Michigan lost grip on Method Home Products | Crain's Detroit Business:
"Method Home Products could have made Detroit -- or one of several other Michigan cities -- home for a large soap manufacturing plant.
It could have built a 200,000-square-foot factory.
It could have invested $35 million.
It could have created 100 green-manufacturing jobs.
Instead, the spoils went to Chicago.
A year and a half ago, Detroit didn't step up to help the San Francisco-based company through the labyrinth of tax credits, abatements, zoning laws, real estate rules, legal wrangling and everything else it takes to turn an abandoned brownfield site into a successful business, said Adam Lowry and Eric Ryan, the Detroit-area natives who founded Method."

Detroit "bus from and to Hell" on track to drain more moolah and no one got a clue where da money gonna come from------Rapid bus project for Woodward advances

Rapid bus project for Woodward advances | The Detroit News:
"“At this level of the analysis, we can’t make a determination of the final alignment,” said Carmine Palombo, the deputy director of the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments, who is also one of leaders of the Woodward steering committee.
“There hasn’t been anything decided upon at this point.
We’re just moving to the next level of analysis.”
Many questions remain, such as cost to build and operate, as well as potential ridership.
And in the meantime, groundbreaking is expected this summer on a light rail train route along Woodward in Detroit."

Christian baker ordered to endorse same-sex ‘wedding’

Christian baker ordered to endorse same-sex ‘wedding’
DENVER – The Colorado Civil Rights Division is telling a Lakewood, Colorado, baker he must violate his faith and create “wedding” cakes for same-sex duos, even though the state doesn’t recognize such unions.
....Two homosexuals filed the complaint after Phillips declined to provide them with a “wedding” cake. Phillips offered to provide other products but, citing his own Christian beliefs, declined to produce a message on a wedding cake that conflicted with his faith.
Administrative Law Judge Robert Spencer, however, earlier ordered Phillips, on pain of fines or even jail time, to violate his faith and provide the wedding cake to homosexuals Charlie Craig and David Mullins.
.....The notice argues Phillips “did not discriminate ‘because of’ sexual orientation” but acted “in accordance with the provisions of the Colorado Constitution, state law and the public policy of the state.”

For many conservatives, Bloomberg’s anti-gun views and big government mentality are deal breakers as far as politics go, but he seems to have found at least some common ground with them in this speech."

POW dad’s bizarre deleted tweet raises questions about Obama’s prisoner swap - BizPac Review:
A Twitter posting by the father of the serviceman released from Taliban captivity  Saturday in exchange for five prisoners from Guantanamo Bay is raising deep questions about what exactly the Obama administration did to get Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl out of Afghanistan.

Here’s the tweet, which Robert Bergdahl posted May 28 – before his son’s release – and deleted Saturday, according to Twitchy.com.

House Marijuana Votes Earn Backing of Rare Bipartisan Coalition

House Marijuana Votes Earn Backing of Rare Bipartisan Coalition (Video) | 218:
"In a series of late-night votes that marijuana-rights advocates say reflect a nation’s changing attitudes, the Republican-controlled House moved early Friday  to block the federal government from interfering with state laws on pot and hemp.
The most far-reaching of the votes — a measure to cut funds for Drug Enforcement Agency raids on medical marijuana operations — passed 219-189 on the strength of an unusual coalition that cut across traditional partisan lines.
The medical marijuana measure was offered by conservative Republican Dana Rohrabacher of California as an amendment to the fiscal 2015 Commerce-Justice-Science appropriations bill. "

Is Covering Christian Statues Really a Good Use of VA Time? | TheBlaze.com:
"The Department of Veterans Affairs may be embroiled in a healthcare scandal — the severity of which led to the resignation of VA head Eric Shinseki — but pockets of the VA health system seem to be focused not on improving healthcare for veterans, but on stripping religion out of hospital chapels.
Fox News’ Todd Starnes wrote on Friday of the VA hospital in Iron Mountain, Michigan, where an altar, cross and statues of Jesus and Mary are being scrupulously hidden behind a curtain — inside a Christian chapel."

Piling On: More New Research Shows No Link Between “Polar Vortex” and Global Warming

Piling On: More New Research Shows No Link Between “Polar Vortex” and Global Warming | Cato @ Liberty:
This is getting embarrassing.
Another scientific paper has just been published that again finds no association between Arctic sea ice loss and extreme cold and wintery conditions across the U.S.—White House Science Advisor John Holdren’s favorite mechanism for tying last winter’s persistent “polar vortex” over the eastern US to anthropogenic global warming (AGW).
We wonder just what it will take for the White House to publicly admit that it was grossly wrong.
At the very least, it needs to disavow a widely-disseminated YouTube video featuring Holdren explaining the link between last winter’s polar vortex and human-caused climate change.
There is no such link.
Of course, this won’t happen, as Holdren was simply engaging in a publicity stunt relying on tenuous science to scare up support for President Obama’s Climate Action Plan.
The President is hell-bent on an endless string of executive actions aimed at manipulating the energy market and reducing our energy choices along the way.

"Feel good" story of the day!--------------GUNMAN SHOOTS OFF HIS TESTICLES AFTER COMMITTING CRIME!

GUNMAN SHOOTS OFF HIS TESTICLES AFTER COMMITTING CRIME! | Americas Freedom Fighters:
                        A Criminal’s Unfortunate Mistake
Portland, Oregon – A 40 year-old man, or former man, named Joseph Johnson accidentally shot off his own testicles while he was fleeing the scene of the a crime. The culprit was committing a shooting in downtown Portland, and as he hastily fled the scene he holstered the gun in his pants, inadvertently firing the gun resulting in self-castration. This was not before he gave his victim, 32 year-old Jordan Merrell, a leg-wound. Of course we heavily sympathize with the victim, but compared to castration by gun a leg-wound sounds like a little slice of Heaven.
According to local police and eyewitness testimonies, the gunman and the victim knew each other very well and lived in the same apartment building. The conflict took place in a parking lot behind the building, which is where the gunman allegedly confronted the victim, demanded he hand over his property, and shot him in the leg. Police spokesman Sergeant Pete Simpson is on record as saying that “the suspect’s wound is consistent with somebody putting a gun in his pants.”

We have nothing to fear but apathy itself-----May cable news ratings spare no one

May cable news ratings spare no one - POLITICO.com:
"MSNBC had its lowest performance in prime time since July 2006, while CNN had the least-watched 9 p.m. hour in its entire history, a sharp drop after its quick jumps in April from its coverage of the missing Malaysian plane.
MSNBC’s highest-rated show was “The Rachel Maddow Show,” which placed 14th overall, with 738,000 average total viewers, and 11th overall in the demo, with 176,000 demo viewers.
"Anderson Cooper 360″ was the top CNN program, placing 21st, with 452,000 average total viewers, and 19th — with an average of 145,000 — in the demo."

Michigan teacher suspended after segregation lesson

Michigan teacher suspended after segregation lesson | Fox News:
"A southeast Michigan public school teacher has been removed from the classroom while district officials look into whether a lesson plan on African-American history and racial segregation laws was inappropriate.
Alan Barron was placed on paid leave nearly two weeks ago after an eighth-grade history class at Monroe Middle School was shown a video of how white entertainers once used black face paint to imitate blacks, according to The Monroe News (http://bit.ly/1gPFuNY ).
An assistant principal sat in on the history class as Barron, 59, discussed Jim Crow laws and showed the video.
...Adrienne Aaron, whose daughter is in Barron's class, said he simply was teaching history and that racial segregation is a subject that should be discussed with students.
"It had nothing to do with racism. History is history," Aaron told the newspaper.
"We need to educate our kids to see how far we've come in America.
How is that racism?
"It's so sad this has happened to him.
He's one of the best teachers we've had.""
