"A government watchdog found that 78 political appointees of President Barack Obama managed to “burrow” into career government jobs over a six-year period.
A Government Accountability Office report obtained by The Washington Times Wednesday shows that seven of Mr. Obama’s political appointees switched to career jobs without obtaining necessary approval from the Office of Personnel Management. Of those, four were later denied the jobs by OPM and three left their posts."

George Washington University committee will explore renaming ‘problematic’ campus buildings - The College Fix:
Image result for taliban destroys statues"Student committee will consider whether buildings are named after ‘bigoted or discriminatory’ individuals
A new committee at an elite Washington, D.C. university will explore the possibility of changing “problematic” building names.
Amid a flurry of iconoclasm aimed at Civil War and other early American symbols, students at George Washington University are forming a committee to examine the backgrounds of people for whom buildings on campus are named in order to determine “if individuals with bigoted or discriminatory views are being honored on campus,” The GW Hatchet reports.
...Earlier this year, Yale University renamed its Calhoun College due to its namesake’s slave-owning past.
In January, meanwhile, the University of Michigan rolled out “a process to rename buildings” named after those who “supported slavery or discrimination.”"

Swedish class photo creates reactions in Norway

Swedish class photo creates reactions in Norway:
"A Swedish primary school class photo that has been spread on social media, generates strong reactions - in Norway.
The picture, showing a single ethnic Swedish girl surrounded by non-ethnic Swedish children, some with with hijab, and a blonde teacher, was published in the alternative Norwegian news outlet "Ekte Nyheter," with the inscription "A picture says more than a thousand words".
Swedish class photo creates reactions in NorwayOn social media many Norwegians have commented and many are also concerned about this development coming to Norway.
"What is happening to Sweden?
this also come to Norway in a few years?"
But the fact is that this is already happening in Norwegian cities, especially in the Norwegian capital of Oslo, where a large number of schools (52 out of 132) now have a majority of immigrant students, as reported here.
- We are in the process of replacing the population, said Per-Willy Amundsen, who is now Minister of Justice, in 2014, when figures from Statistics Norway showed that the Norwegians will be a minority in Norway by 2050.
If you want a glimpse of the future, look at the primary schools."

All Russian Roads Lead to DNC: Russian Purchased Facebook Ads Promoted Hillary Clinton and Black Lives Matter:
"Another Screaming Headline — Another Media Hoax

On September 6, 2017, liberal media elites believed they found the missing link between Donald Trump and the Putin regime.

A Russian firm linked to pro-Kremlin propaganda had advertised on Facebook during the election.
The company spent only $100,000 on the Facebook ads but liberals believed this was enough to flip the election to Trump..."

Georgetown Law Profs Take A Knee To Protest Jeff Sessions' Appearance On Campus To Discuss Free Speech

TaxProf Blog:
"Huffington Post, Georgetown Law Faculty Take A Knee To Protest Jeff Sessions’ Campus Visit:
In what may be a first, a style of protest that started in the NFL has spread directly to ... Georgetown Law.
Faculty members at the prestigious law school took a knee Tuesday morning in dissent of a visit by Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who was on campus to “give remarks about free speech.”
Professors at the school have vociferously opposed the visit by Sessions.
In an open letter published ahead of the event, signed by around a third of the law school’s faculty, professors lambasted it as “hypocritical” and “troubling.”

Westerners: Guilty of Reading the News

Westerners: Guilty of Reading the News:
  • If the public are asked whether Arabs should be profiled for security reasons, why should it be surprising if a very slight majority of the public think they should be? A large number of terrorist incidents have occurred in the Arab and Western world in recent years.
  • If, at some point, large numbers of, say, Czechs, Poles and Hungarians had started to export terrorism across the planet, a majority of the public in a country such as Britain might be relied on to call for increased security checks on people of Eastern European origin. In the meantime, the public would appear to be guilty of nothing other than reading the news.
  • Few newspaper commentaries bothered to wonder whether the people who had decapitated a soldier on the streets of London might not be responsible for the negative sentiments that followed. For Arab News, any such explanation would be an impossibility.
Image result for islam attacks uk"...What is more ridiculous still is the idea -- consistent from a range of opinion polls over recent years -- that the British people, like those across Europe and America, are in the grip of some profoundly irrational mania.
...The central conceit of a poll such as this, however, is, of course, to present the whole issue of terrorism as a misunderstanding by the general public.
The issue is not just the four Islamist attacks in the UK so far this year...
The issue is not the appearance of a Libyan suicide bomber at a pop concert in Manchester in May, or the young men of Pakistani origin who rampaged across London Bridge and into Borough Market in June, while they slit the throats of passers-by and shouted, "This is for Allah".
...The question they seem to wish to get to the root of is: Why the British people might have bigoted and unpleasant attitudes?..."

Media Ignore Mass Shooting In Tennessee Because It Doesn't Fit Their Leftist Narrative | Daily Wire
"The media, eager to bury the story of the mass shooting at a church in Tennessee on Sunday in which a Sudanese immigrant, who is black, murdered a white mother of two and wounded six other people, including the pastor, has totally ignored the incident, conveniently using the NFL/ Trump controversy as grist for its mill.
Emanuel Kidega Samson, from Sudan, first murdered Melanie Smith, 39, in the parking lot, then entered Burnette Chapel Church of Christ and started shooting.
Image result for Emanuel Kidega SamsonHe was only stopped by the heroism of an usher, Caleb Engle, 22, who was pistol-whipped in the face, but held tight until Samson accidentally shot himself.
Engle then retrieved his firearm from his car and stood guard over Samson until police arrived.
Matt Walsh, in a powerful column at The Blaze, pointed out:
"Maybe you read about this story on page 14 of the newspaper.
I’m not exaggerating, either.
The New York Times put this mass shooting on page 14...
  • The church shooting does no favors to the liberal narrative, so it must be ignored.
  • The shooter was black.
  • He’s a Sudanese immigrant.
  • He killed a white woman.
  • He was stopped by a good guy with a gun.
If the races were switched and you removed the pesky pro-Second Amendment element of the story, perhaps it may have fighting chance to compete with choreographed protests in professional sports for airtime..."

Be skeptical of Ken Burns’ ‘The Vietnam War’ - The Citizen
"...For many years I have been presenting to high school classes a 90-minute session titled “The Myths and Truths of the Vietnam War.”
One of my opening comments is, “The truth about Vietnam is bad enough without twisting it all out of shape with myths, half-truths and outright lies from the anti-war left.”
...Part of my presentation is showing them four iconic photos from Vietnam, aired publicly around the world countless times to portray America’s evil involvement in Vietnam.
I tell the students “the rest of the story” excluded by the news media about each photo, then ask, “Wouldn’t you want the whole story before you decide for yourself what to think?”

  • One of those photos is the summary execution of a Viet Cong soldier in Saigon, capital city of South Vietnam, during the battles of the Tet Offensive in 1968.

Image result for photos is the summary execution of a Viet Cong soldier in SaigonOur dishonorable enemy negotiated a cease-fire for that holiday, then on that holiday attacked in about 100 places all over the country.
Here’s what I tell students about the execution in the photo.
“Before you decide what to think, here’s what the news media never told us.
This enemy soldier had just been caught after he murdered a Saigon police officer, the officer’s wife, and the officer’s six children.
The man pulling the trigger was Nguyen Ngoc Loan, South Vietnam’s Chief of National Police.
His actions were supported by South Vietnamese law, and by the Geneva Convention since the captured killer was an un-uniformed illegal combatant.
Now, you might still be disgusted by the summary execution, but wouldn’t you want all the facts before you decide what to think?”

  • The other one-sided stories about iconic photos I use are a 9-year-old girl named Kim Phuc, running down a road after her clothes were burned off by a napalm bomb, a lady kneeling by the body of a student at Kent State University, and a helicopter on top of a building with too many evacuees trying to climb aboard.

Each one had only the half of the story told by news media during the war, the half that supported the anti-war narrative..."

Lingerie Football League Responds to NFL: 'We Stand!'
"The all-woman league formerly known as the Lingerie Football League announced this week its belief that America's flag and national anthem are "far too sacred" to protest.
The league, recently rebranded as the Legends Football League, said in a Tuesday statement that its players would not be taking a knee during the national anthem as many of their male counterparts in the NFL have done.
"The LFL recognizes everyone's First Amendment right to protest, but our nation's flag and anthem are far too sacred," the league said.
"Too many fellow Americans have made the ultimate sacrifice, so that our flag and anthem continue in all its majesty..."
