Oh Dear, Kentucky Representative Thomas Massie Touches the Third Rail – Reveals DC’s Biggest Secret… | The Last Refuge
"With congress saying they will not be returning to work next week, it appears Kentucky representative Thomas Massie has decided to use the opportunity to expose Washington DC’s biggest secret.
Something 99% of American voters do not understand:
Oh dear, he’s telling secrets.
You see, congress doesn’t actually write legislation.
The last item of legislation written by congress was sometime around the mid 1990’s.  Modern legislation is sub-contracted to K-Street.
Lobbyists write the laws; congress sells the laws; lobbyists then pay congress commissions for passing their laws.
That’s the modern legislative business in DC..."

Google is able to do this because more than half of the nation’s public schools — and more than 80 million people around the world — use free Google education apps like Gmail and Google Docs. More than 25 million students and teachers also use Chromebooks.

Image result for imf green economy“You know, a crisis [is] never to be missed as an opportunity to do better,” IMF managing director Kristalina Georgieva said Monday.
Georgieva, a Bulgarian economist who took over as IMF chief last year, has a prominent role influencing how countries soften the economic blows delivered by the pandemic.
She is also working on strategies to “jump-start economies” after the contagion passes.
She favors a “coordinated fiscal stimulus that can generate a new momentum for the world economy,” crafted with an eye on climate change as well as the coronavirus crisis..."

New Evidence: FBI Wanted to Drop Case Against Michael Flynn Until Peter Strzok Intervened:

Image result for wikicommons images Peter StrzokNew documents suggest that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) had drafted a document dropping the case against incoming National Security Advisor Gen. Michael Flynn (Ret.) — until agent Peter Strzok intervened.
The documents are emerging as the result of efforts by Flynn’s defense team to obtain exculpatory information from the prosecution to which they are legally entitled. Flynn’s former lawyers at Covington and Burling, who encouraged him to accept a plea deal with the Department of Justice, neglected to turn over thousands of pages of documents to the new team. It is not clear whether the FBI files are also among the Covington documents.

Dems Snuck A $15 Minimum Wage Into The CARES Act — And We’ll All Pay The Price – Issues & Insights
"Buried in a story about the overly generous unemployment “bonus” that Democrats added to the CARES Act is the reason why they insisted on it in the first place — and why it will drag down the recovery once the lockdown ends.
Image result for Chuck SchumerWhile lawmakers were hammering out the massive $2 trillion bill, a key focus of which was to keep workers connected to their jobs through a loan guarantee program — Democrats insisted on a huge increase in unemployment benefits.
The result was a $600 a week bonus.
New York Sen. Chuck Schumer was right to call this “unemployment on steroids.”
Well, guess what?
“The $600 payment aligns with working full time at $15 an hour – the minimum-wage level many Democrats in Congress support,” notes the Wall Street Journal.
The Journal reports that – thanks to this bonus – workers will get an average of $978 in unemployment benefits.
What’s more, “Labor Department statistics show half of full-time workers earned $957 or less each week in the first quarter of 2020.”
South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham had it exactly right when he said that:
“You’re literally incentivizing taking people out of the workforce at a time when we need critical infrastructure supplied with workers. If this is not a drafting error, then it’s the worst idea I’ve seen in a long time.”

In America, Democratic Governors and Mayors tell you to remain in lockdown except for essential journeys.
They order you under threat of arrest.
But we have seen this does not apply to the Democrat elite.
  • NY Mayor de Blasio was caught on camera walking with his wife in Central Park.
  • Now Politico snapped former President Barrack Obama golfing at an exclusive Virginia course last Saturday.
Everyone else was locked down at home, but not Obama.
This as his wife, Michelle, was instructing the common folk, "We urge you to stay home except if you need essential healthcare, food, supplies to to go to your essential work."
Notice how they have special rules for you, but not for themselves.
Why do I stumble across examples of glaring Democratic double standards and hypocrisy several times a day?
  • Laurie Lightfoot, the mayor of Chicago, was caught getting her hair done after the city had ordered the closedown of salons and beauty parlors.
  • When pulled up about it she protested arrogantly, "I'm the public face of this city. I appear on television. I am in the public eye."
In other words, "I'm more important than you. So shut up!"
People in power abuse their power.
It's disgusting!"

Mag: Sex Misconduct Allegations 'Swirling Around Biden' for Years

Image result for Wiki Commons Images Joe BidenMag: Sex Misconduct Allegations 'Swirling Around Biden' for Years:

A 2008 column in the far-left magazine CounterPunch accusing Joe Biden of “loutish sexual advances” in the U.S. Senate has become a lightning rod in the debate over Biden and his former staffer Tara Reade’s allegation of sexual assault in 1993.
The article, written by the late Alexander Cockburn, lamented then-presidential candidate Barack Obama’s choice of Biden as a running mate in August 2008. Biden, in Cockburn’s view, was an empty and worthless swamp creature, a D.C. insider chosen purely to improve Obama’s electoral odds who would ultimately stifle any progressive agenda for the candidate of “Hope and Change.”

Be afraid, very afraid!-----The Inevitable Coronavirus Censorship Crisis is Here - Reporting by Matt Taibbi

The Inevitable Coronavirus Censorship Crisis is Here - Reporting by Matt Taibbi:
  • As the Covid-19 crisis progresses, censorship programs advance, amid calls for China-style control of the Internet
"Earlier this week, Atlantic magazine – fast becoming the favored media outlet for self-styled intellectual elites of the Aspen Institute type – ran an in-depth article of the problems free speech pose to American society in the coronavirus era.
The headline:
Internet Speech Will Never Go Back to Normal
"In the debate over freedom versus control of the global network, China was largely correct, and the U.S. was wrong."
...They went on to list all the reasons that, given that we’re already on an “inexorable” path to censorship, a Chinese-style system of speech control may not be such a bad thing.
In fact, they argued, a benefit of the coronavirus was that it was waking us up to “how technical wizardry, data centralization, and private-public collaboration can do enormous public good.”
Perhaps, they posited, Americans could be moved to reconsider their “understanding” of the First and Fourth Amendments, as “the harms from digital speech” continue to grow, and “the social costs of a relatively open Internet multiply.”
This interesting take on the First Amendment was the latest in a line of “Let’s rethink that whole democracy thing” pieces that began sprouting up in earnest four years ago..."

Coronavirus hype biggest political hoax in history - Washington Times

Coronavirus hype biggest political hoax in history - Washington Times
"...The response to the coronavirus is hyped.
And in time, this hype will be revealed as politically hoaxed.
In fact, COVID-19 will go down as one of the political world’s biggest, most shamefully overblown, overhyped, overly and irrationally inflated and outright deceptively flawed responses to a health matter in American history, one that was carried largely on the lips of medical professionals who have no business running a national economy or government.
The facts are this: COVID-19 is a real disease that sickens some, proves fatal to others, mostly the elderly — and does nothing to the vast majority.
...The data to keep America closed and Americans closed in simply doesn’t exist.
If truth be told, it’s questionable it ever did.
The scientists leading the coronavirus shutdown charge predicted in March that in America, between 100,000 and 250,000 would die.
They based those estimates on computer modeling.
But at the same time they were basing those estimates on computer modeling, they were acknowledging that computer modeling is inaccurate and errs on the side of hype.
“I’ve never seen a model of the diseases I’ve dealt with where the worst-case actually came out,” said Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and a member of President Donald Trump’s White House coronavirus task force, during a CNN interview in March. “They always overshoot.”
Catch that?
Fauci’s message: Computer models are flawed and inaccurate and always overestimate the problem.
...Since, about 56,000 have died in America due to coronavirus — or have they?
Again, the facts are flimsy..."

Unreported: Democrat bill would use taxpayer money to ‘bring deported criminals’ back’ – World Tribune: Window on the Real World
From Feb. Bill not passed...yet!
"A new immigration bill being pushed by Democrats would not only decriminalize illegals entry into the U.S. but would use “taxpayer money to bring deported criminals back into America,” Fox News host Tucker Carlson reported on Thursday.
The New Way Forward Act is sponsored by 44 House Democrats, including Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar.
The bill would entirely remake our immigration system with the explicit purpose of ensuring that criminals are able to move to the United States, and settle here permanently, with impunity.”
The proposed legislation “decriminalizes illegal entry into America, even by those we’ve previously deported,” Carlson said. “According to a document promoting this bill, criminalizing illegal entry into America is quote, ‘white supremacist.’ ”...

Minneapolis Neighborhood Begins Broadcasting Islamic Call to Prayer over Loudspeakers

Minneapolis Neighborhood Begins Broadcasting Islamic Call to Prayer over Loudspeakers
"...A cultural line has been crossed.
According to the Star Tribune, “the Muslim call to prayer will be broadcast the traditional five times a day in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood of Minneapolis, beginning with the start of Ramadan this week and continuing through the end of the religious holiday in May.
...the implications of this broadcast call to prayer...are ominous.
...what exactly is it broadcasting?
The adhan, prayed in Arabic, repeats “Allahu akbar” six times, “I testify that there is no god but Allah” three times, and “I testify that Muhammad is Allah’s prophet” twice.
Dr. Gavin Ashenden...observed that “the Muslim call to prayer is a dramatic piece of Islamic triumphalism.
It proclaims Islam’s superiority over all other religions, and in so doing casts Jesus in the role of a charlatan and a liar...
